What is
Homeopathy? Homeopathy is a holistic approach
to treating disease in a scientific method using minute quantities
of medicines derived from animal, plant and mineral substances.
There are more than 3000 homeopathic remedies available on the
market. It is practiced by homeopathic practitioners. It is used for
many types of ailments; except physical problems like dislocations.
How
Homeopathy Works:
It is based on the Law of Similars; large amounts of
administered medicine produces (in a healthy person) symptoms
similar to those of the disease. It uses the body’s ability to
heal itself. It recognizes symptoms as the body’s effort to defend
itself against disease. Remedies do not treat symptoms; they
initiate the healing of the underlying disease. A homeopathic
practitioner assesses symptoms and applies only one remedy. Some
remedies are derived from known toxic materials; however, due to the
minute quantities used, the remedies are safe. Proper medicine
boosts the body’s natural immune and defense system. Homeopathic
medicine works only if it is homeopathic to existing symptoms.
Applying
Homeopathy:

Mother
Tinctures: 10 drops in 2 pints of water; most concentrated
form.

Pills
& Tablets: Place under tongue and allow to dissolve.

Ointments:
Commercially prepared; apply directly or on bandages to
affected area.

Suppositories:
Commercially prepared; follow directions on label.
